gtdmobile

gtdmobile is a finger friendly task management application for Windows Mobile based mobile phones. It eases use of Getting Things Done[TM] methods when managing your tasks. Since tasks can be synchronized with Outlook, it is a practical app for managing your tasks.

I'm using the Jello Dashboard Outlook plugin, and it works great together with gtdmobile.

Screenshots

Note: for real finger-friendly use, you have to use a Windows Mobile 6 phone. The screenshots show views from Windows Mobile 5 Emulator (thus the small menus and keyboard).

On the Task List view you can see the current tasks (as determined by the filter). The default filter is to show the Next Action list. Tapping on an item shows the Task Edit view. The context menu (shown when doing the tap-and-hold) allows you to edit, delete or complete an item.

The Filter view lets you select which contexts and projects should be used for filtering your tasks. Tapping on the Context or Projects fields lets you select from a list of available contexts and projects.

The Task Edit view shows details about the task that can be changed. This view is also shown when adding a new task. When tapping on the Context field, the Context List view is shown that lets you select from existing contexts for the task. The Project field lets you select you one or more project the task belongs to. Currently no new context or project items can be added with gtdmobile. These are best managed with Outlook at present.

Download

There currently is a beta version of gtdmobile available. I tested this version for some time and couldn't find any obvious bugs. I'm eager to get feedback on this version.
