Party Video DJ
Party Video DJ is an application to show music videos at parties. You can search for videos using YouTube, and the application automatically handles crossfading videos. It's designed to be simple, so that your party guests can easily add new videos to the playlist.

Manual
The application plays back videos from YouTube and crossfades to the next video automatically before end. The main part of the screen shows the video, and the playlist may be docked to the right. Above the screen there are some buttons to control the application. The playlist is written to a file called playlist.txt when the application exits. There's one usable key in Party Video DJ: You can make the video fullscreen by pressing F11. Restore the application by pressing F11 again.
Buttons
The buttons have the following meaning:
- Play: Starts playing back the first (or next) video. When the video is already playing, it pauses the video.
- Next: Crossfades to the next video, even if it isn't finished yet.
- Search: Shows the search page and hides the video; the search field next to the button also lets you enter song titles to search for.
- Playlist: Shows or hides the playlist that is docked to the right side.
Playlist
The playlist shows all videos already played and marks the current video with a round "play" icon. The context menu has the following menu entries:
- Delete: Deletes the currently marked video from the playlist.
- Move down: Moves down the video in the playlist.
- Move up: Moves down the video in the playlist.
- Playlist: Shows or hides the playlist that is docked to the right side.
Missing stuff
There might be some bugs in the application, so test it before your party. Drag-and-drop of videos in the playlist doesn't work, as well as multi-select. The playlist is saved to a file named playlist.txt in the same folder as the .exe file, and the folder may be read-only, depending on where you put the application.
Download
You can download a version of the application as a zipped .exe file. Extract it anywhere you like.
For running the program the Visual C++ Redistributable package must be installed, which is available here: Microsoft Visual C++ 2008 SP1 Redistributable Package
